SHIMLA – THE SNOWY SUMMER CAPITAL
Kufri the skiing escapade
Stay in Shimla this December, and enjoy the adventure that the surrounding hill-stations have to offer. December to February are the finest months to visit Kufri when the snowfall is at its peak. The town is popular for its skiing and snow-related activities that attract the like-minded tourists giving them an exquisite feel. While selecting the perfect time to visit Kufri, one must keep in mind the reason to visit as well. Don’t be a slacker this winter and pull out your thermals, fleece jackets and coats from the closet and hit the road to Shimla!!!
Mashobra : Skating on Ice…
If you love snow, this is the town for you to be in winters. Covered with a thick blanket of snow, Mashobra entices you by hosting a wide range of winter sports. From Camping, Biking, Trekking, River Rafting, Paragliding, Rappelling, Skiing, to Bird watching in Shimla, you name it and it is made available to you on this quaint hilly getaway. The temperature could go below sub-zero level with the maximum temperature of 10 degree celcius. If these did not satiate your sporty soul then indulge in skating and participate in the Ice Skating Carnival. Quite an Icy Affair after all…
Naldehra : One in a myriad!
Among the innumerable hamlets of Himachal Pradesh is Naldehra, a town tucked just a little away from Shimla. Near the Mahakali Lake in Naldehra, lies Shaily Peak with one of the most appealing walks on the trail leading you to the top of the peak. The temple of the goddess on Shaily Peak commands the valleys all around with a 360° view of the mountains and of course the Shimla countryside. “Well, I know now. I know a little more how much a simple thing like a snowfall can mean to a person” Sylvia Plath rightly quoted and we agree. So let this winter be a snow-filled one for you.
